I would have never imagined that poker events throughout the world would or could be cancelled, but here we are with a world wide pandemic – Corona Virus Covid19 –  very possibly resulting in the cancellation of many events including the possibility of the 2020 World Series of Poker since it is just around the corner, just a couple of months away. I’m certain that a lot of players from around the world have already cancelled their plans or at the very least are planning to cancel if things do not improve. Many are in fact taking bets on the possibilities of the 2020 WSOP being cancelled or postponed.

As of March 14th some of the following events that have been cancelled or postponed until further notice:
Heartland Poker Tour (Cincinnati) – Cancelled
WSOP Circuit (Bicycle Casino in Los Angeles):  Cancelled
WSOP Circuit (Harrah’s in Atlantic City):  Stopped
WSOP Circuit (King’s Resort in Rozvadov, Czech Republic): Cancelled
WPT Deepstacks Amsterdam (Holland Casino): Cancelled
WPT Deepstacks Maryland (Maryland Live Casino): Cancelled
WPT Deepstacks Jacksonville (Bestbet Casino): Postponed

There are lots more cancellations and/or postponements worldwide: way too many for us to keep up with.

To us here at the Texas Poker Store our biggest disappointment would be if the 2020 WSOP is in fact cancelled. Many of our friends and customers attend the Main Event religiously, most to play, many just to watch and be part of it all. So we’re hoping for the best, and of course not just because of poker but certainly for the health and safety of everyone worldwide.

Oh well, there’s always On-Line Poker Tables to check out!!!!

Wishing all of you the best, stay healthy nothing is more important. although poker does come a close second to many of you.

We’ll keep you informed, but in the mean time if you have any questions or comments please click here and fire away.
