Would you have made the calls the way Candio did here? Personally I would have been scared to death after Cheong re-raised to 1,125,000 but not Candio, he makes the call. Since we can see what both players have it’s easier for us to be scared knowing that Cheong is sitting on pocket aces but for Candio to raise Cheong’s next bet of 1 1/2 million plus to 4.4 sweet million has me thinking that he is absolutely nuts. And then for Cheong to re-raise Candio “All In”  only to have Candio make the call, well, that’s just poker insanity….

Now, if after watching this sick win by Candio you feel inspired and you feel like you too could be a winner then don’t forget to send us your prediction of the Texas A&M and Oklahoma State final score and you could win one of these great poker gifts — a Texas A&M Game Room Mirror, or choice of any other NCAA Mirror in stock, with a retail value of $51.30 shipped for free directly to you anywhere in the continental US.

It’s been said a million times before; the river can be so cruel. In this sick hand we see Daniel Negreanu playing head-to- head against Barry Schulman, the CEO of Card Player Magazine. Barry holding pocket aces and Daniel looking at a queen and jack. The flop gives Daniel a dangerous jack and he raises Barry to $900,000 which Barry answers with “All In.” Daniel responds, “Is this the one?” and makes the call. The turn is another Jack for Daniel, giving him trip jacks. Only an ace can save Barry and the river delivers it for him.

In this case the river was extremely cruel to Daniel. But the flip side is that sometimes when you bet all your poker chips the river can be so kind.

From my point of view the Aggies’ defense was near perfect in Saturday’s 37-7 win over Idaho. In fact, they only gave up 187 total yards, and 109 of them came in the fourth quarter when most of A&M’s starting defense was taking a well-earned rest on the bench.

Certainly this eighth-ranked Aggies’ offense has a few  things to work on before they come up against No. 7 Oklahoma State next weekend. Although their talent and potent offense put the game out of reach early, there was some sloppy play and a couple of turnovers that are going to warrant a lot of discussion before meeting OSU at Kyle.

Whether you are a die-hard Aggie fan like we are or just love college football, how about trying to do some predicting for the upcoming Texas A&M vs Oklahoma State game on September 24, 2011. Whoever comes closest to predicting the final score will receive one of these great poker gifts — a Texas A&M Game Room Mirror  with a retail value of $51.30 shipped for free directly to you anywhere in the continental US.

Last night at our usual Thursday night game there were a few hands that were arguably “Sick Poker Hands!” There were a total of nine players. On this one sick hand, everyone except two players folded, and we had a heads up with first position and seventh position players.

The flop is Qd – 3h- Jc…nothing too exciting. First position bets – seventh position calls. The Turn is a Jh, first bets, seventh raises, first re-raises, seventh calls. The River is a Qh. First bets, seventh raises, first goes “All In,”  seventh calls. First turns over a pair of Jacks to make Quad Jacks. Imagine how he felt when seventh turns over a pair of Ladies giving him Quad Queens.

For our game, that was a sick poker hand, but it was only for a few dollars. It’s really not so sick if you compare it to the millions that Matt Affleck lost in his sick hand against Jonathan Duhamel.

If I was Matt I would  have done exactly what he did… looked around and wept as all my poker chips went to Duhamel.
