Sunday night was long and drawn out at the 2011 WSOP Final Table. Started with the final nine players for this year’s tournament and by sometime after midnight (technically Monday) Matt Giannetti was eliminated, which left only three players to battle it out for the final prize of $8,711,956 and the WSOP Championship Bracelet. They are: PIUS HEINZ from Cologne, Germany, with 107,800,000 chips, BEN LAMB from Tulsa, OK USA/Las Vegas, NV with 55,400,000 chips and MARTIN STASZKO from Trinec, Czech Republic with 42,700,000. Quite an international battle!
They’ll battle it out Tuesday, November 8, and we will be watching; will you? By the way, all three will be very richly rewarded. The payout for 2nd place is $5,433,086 and for third place $4,021,138. Plus 6th, 7th and 8th place all paid out over a million.
Perhaps it is your turn to get involved, head over to the Texas Poker Store and pick up some Copag playing cards and Scratch-Off tickets for a chance to win your shot for an entry to the 2012 WSOP.
